Makeni Beats is a Sierra Leone born musician and sound engineer living in Los Angeles. This Afrobeat and Dancehall debut was created during the 2020 lockdown when the only way to stay sane was to work on music. The lonely journey produced this self made Makeni Beats EP. Some songs were crafted while LAPD helicopters hovered over protest marches nearby, others on warm sunny days spent indoors, avoiding the pandemic.
